SALARY: E2: ((P 427 860.00 - P 449 256.00 per annum)
LEAVE: 30 working days per annum
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Procurement Supply Chain Management or Business or related field. At least sixteen (16) years' experience of which two (2) years should have been served as Deputy Manager on DI salary scale or in a procurement -related environment. The candidate should have demonstrated exceptionally high professional competency and integrity in procurement and asset disposal and supplies management and has managerial abilities.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
To provide strategic leadership in the procurement of supplies, services and works as well as the disposal of assets for the Administration of Justice in a timely and efficient manner.

- Identifies and sources suitable supplies, services and works and negotiates and agree on price in accordance with delegated authority. •
- Gives advice on procurement matters requiring policy action and guides on all technical matters for efficient procurement of goods, works and services. •
- Provides technical advice in the preparation of the tender documentation, administration of the tendering and evaluation of bids for contract awards. •

- CONTRACT DEVELOPMENT AND CONTRACTOR EVALUATION
- Develops contracts with contractors •
- Negotiates bulk discounts or special facilities on behalf of the Ministry. •
- Aligns/endorses contractor selection to procurement policy and strategy of Government of Botswana and reviews the list of contractors based on their performance. •
- Oversees maintenance of list of approved suppliers and evaluates supply capabilities and contractor performance. •
- Facilitates contacts between contractors and Ministries/ Departments.
