PRINCIPAL RESEARCH OFFICER I, D2 SALARY SCALE POSITION The Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) seeks the services of a highly motivated, experienced and self-driven Botswana citizen to fill the position below tenable in Gaborone, Department of Research and Policy Development. VACANCY:                    Principal    Research Officer I, D2 salary scale SALARY SCALE:         D2  (P337     008-P371 628 per annum) LEAVE:                         30 working days per annum QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Economics/ Statistics/ Public Policy and related fields. A post graduate qualification in these areas will be an added advantage. Experience using common BI tools including Microsoft Power BI, will be an added advantage. EXPERIENCE: Ten (10) years' experience in any of the above fields and two (2) years should have been served satisfactorily at D3 salary scale or equivalent. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To support management and administration of the Research and Policy Development Unit and to provide statistical information on Trade and Industry as well as to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Business Intelligence Unit.
